I have been in many service waiting area for my other brand name cars. This is my honesty comparison: Bathroom: nasty unclean, Lounge: no water, no light refreshments unless if I wanted to pay something at the vending machine. Check-in: not a welcoming environment. Improper dresscode. Price: extremely overpriced. I had hard time connecting to WiFi so I was unable to get some of my work done.
my experience was fine, it took longer to repair than estimated, but I dropped the car and wasn't in a hurry to get it back. Also, it appears that the original diagnosis may not have been the issue - the repair slip indicates a broken wire was found which may mean that I didn't need a radio amplifier and could have saved $ 500
Brought my truck in on 4-11-19 for Tire rotation (done) Inspection sticker (done) Check A/C, unit needed repair (done) Transmission bangs, was checked and found no problem but did find leak of some kind from a Transmission line. Line was replaced. Also said they found an oil line leak but I was not told exactly where. I had no oil in my driveway at anytime. I would think I would see oil on the ground. I was told the transmission should be flushed and I asked if a transmission line was replaced wouldn't you have to replace the fluid at the same time but I was told it was not drained and it was not under the warranty. I had it replaced. Item G on the repair invoice stated I asked for a four wheel alignment. I did not ask for one but it was done and I was charged for it. Item I on the invoice said I asked for a front and rear differential fluid replacement. 4x4 transfer case fluid replacement. I did not ask for this, it was done and I was charged for it. I came back to this dealership because the one I bought this truck from would tell me things they did not do. In the future if I do have service preformed by McGovern I will ask for a copy of my service request and if things are done I do not ask for I hope I'm not expected to pay for them.
When I signed up for an oil change appt on-line I had a choice between just an oil change and an oil change with tire rotation for approx $89. I chose the oil change with tire rotation. When I took my car in the gentleman asked me something to the effect of, "did I want to do the 15K package with the tire rotation?". Thinking he was confirming that I was there for an oil change with the tire rotation, I answered, "yes I definitely want to do the tire rotation." When I got my bill it was about $200 more than I was expecting and it is because the 15K package is about $200 more than just the oil change and tire rotation. The gentleman gave me $50 off but thinking back, I think it was misleading on their part. I won't support businesses who I think may be intentionally misleading customers and will take my business elsewhere.
Usually everything goes smooth and quick when I bring my vehicles in for service but this time it was just a little slow. Everyone has one of those days so I won't put much on this visit but it was slow. My truck sat for 30 minutes before being brought in for the service, which was 20 minutes past the appointment scheduled. Everything was done to satisfaction as far as I can tell, it was just slow this time around.
